Collins & Green Art

Tell us a little about you and your brand

I sell vintage, affordable and decorative art; only selling what I love and would happily live with myself. That can make it a little tricky as I end up wanting to keep it all! I sell mainly French & Scandinavian Art, although I have recently started selling wonderful original hand coloured 19th century botanicals; the details and colours are so beautiful. I frame some in a classic style and have had fun developing some different frames which are very popular.

I set up Collins and Green when my kids went off to Uni in lockdown. I had been a stay at home mum after having worked in the City for 15 years followed by a Masters at Christie’s.

Who or what inspires you?

My Sisters are a constant source of inspiration; one is a campaigner for disability rights and the other teaches special needs.  Their dedication and love of their work is something to be seen. My friend Molly Hogg is a great inspiration.. She has such a great eye and an amazing collection.

Art has always been my "thing” and I have collected pictures over the years so there is pretty much not a bare wall in my home. One of the things I love most about running this business is helping people find the piece that makes their heart sing; it's enormously rewarding and inspiring.

Which other brands do you love?

Well of course @the.curatedstore has to be one of my favourites....Their support for smaller businesses is wonderful.

I love Sasha @foundbysashawilkins who is so full of energy and never seems to stop. Other brands I admire include @Lineage_London @botivo @lamp-london @thefullmontage @sookitwist @annacoxhome @i.lala_interiors and @c.atherley.
