Mette is a Danish jewellery designer with home and studio in Windsor. In 2010, she turned her lifelong love of jewellery into her profession – designing pieces that are genuine, beautiful, and made to be worn and loved. Her designs are simple, modern and timeless, always with a distinctly Scandinavian touch. She works primarily with natural materials - raw diamonds, semiprecious stones, baroque pearls, jade, turquoise, coral, gold and silver. She loves exploring textures, shapes and colours, bringing them together in simple yet striking compositions. Each design is made with care, either in the UK or by small family businesses in Jaipur whom she has worked very closely with for a long time. Her designs are mostly made in small quantities or limited editions, using gemstones and pearls in a variety of cuts and hues. The result is jewellery that feels personal and authentic– celebrating individuality, craftsmanship and the beauty in natural imperfection.
