Handwoven from natural iraca palm in the artisan town of Usiacurí, our Cayena Placemat is part of CasaLatina's Organic Shapes Capsule, alongside the Camelia and Hoja Palma designs. Its sculptural flower silhouette embodies the expressive craftsmanship that makes Usiacurí weaving so distinctive.

Inspired by the vibrant hibiscus flower of Colombia's Caribbean coast, its petal-like curves are shaped over a traditional internal wire structure — a technique characteristic of Usiacurí artisans that keeps the form both elegant and durable.

Compact in size, Cayena is particularly suited to smaller tables, breakfast settings or intimate arrangements, adding movement and softness without overwhelming the space. Lightweight, sustainably sourced and entirely handwoven, it frames our hand-painted plates and bowls perfectly. International shipping available.

Yes - we love sending our community’s work out into the world! Please note that customs fees or import duties may apply depending on your country. These are the responsibility of the recipient. Most brands are currently not shipping to the US due to the changes in the customs charges as these are now paid at source. Please email at shop@thecuratedstore.co.uk to confirm before ordering.

Each maker/brand ships a little differently, but most orders arrive within 3–5 working days in the UK. You’ll receive dispatch emails and some brands offer a tracking link once your parcel is on its way.

We want you to love every piece you choose, but if something’s not quite right, you can return it within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, and with tags intact.
