Come and join ceramicist Sophie from Starlingpots Ceramics, for a fun and relaxing morning decorating your perfect ceramic eclair or macron cake plate at Choux Bun Appetit Cafe at Sandersons Dept Store, Five Valleys, Stroud, while drinking coffee and eating cake (included)!

This creative workshop morning is suitable for all abilities and designed for anyone and everyone who would like to take time for themselves, to get absorbed in some gentle creating and enjoy a good natter in the process. Come with a friend, family (8+),or bring yourself along to switch off from normal life for a bit, whilst making something really special for your home. This makes an excellent gift too ;-)

All materials and gentle tuition provided, including delicious coffee and patisserie.

Sophie will guide you through your unique design and decoration of a handcrafted stoneware ceramic plate. The decoration might be inspired by nature, botanicals, your favourite pet, colours or Josh’s Macron. You will use a selection of underglazes to create your design, Sophie will be on hand with ideas and advice as you paint.

At the end of the session, Sophie will carefully take your work to her studio in Nailsworth, add transparent glaze and kiln fire it. Your finished work will be both food and dishwasher safe and ready to collect from Choux Bun Appetit in 1 weeks time.

All the materials are provided, all abilities welcome. Sophie is an experienced teacher/creative and will guide you through the day. The cost for this workshop for all tuition, materials, coffee and cake is £45 per person, with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 16 participants attending.
