This Field Notes set is the perfect travelling companion.  Ready to take notes, keep key info at hand, serve as a holiday diary or just generally live in your handbag for those moments where you need to write things down.  

Inspired by Matisse's flat-colour collages and the 80s/90s aesthetic that's been making a comeback (and reminding me of my youth), this Cutouts patterns has been one of my most popular since it launched.  And it's so exciting being able to add textiles back to the range now I've found a UK-based collaborator who values sustainable practices just like me.

The narrow notebooks has 76 pages, with a faint grey dot grid on the recycled white 90gsm paper. The cover is 300gsm, full colour printed on the outside and has a square spine which his stapled in two places and carefully folded to give a neat spine and a flat-close finish.  The notebook comes wrapped in a paper belly band to keep it neat. 

The slimline pencil case has been printed and handmade in Scotland on 100% eco-cotton, also has a cotton lining and a zip made from recycled plastics with a leather zip pull. You can pick either the Black or the Cobalt Blue to go with your notebook.  It's a great size for on the go, fitting lots of different pens in, or alternatively use it for make-up, accessories, headphones etc or even to keep medication concealed but easy to hand. The case comes with a swing tag from the zip, which can be easily detached, but otherwise just like the notebook is totally plastic-free.

This set would also make a brilliant gift - whether for a student off travelling, a thank you to a colleague or teacher, or for an avid note-taker when out and about.  Plus, in the post it's not too bulky so could go through letterboxes pretty easily too.
