In 2007, Mette Høj turned her lifelong passion for jewellery into her profession, designing and creating beautiful, unique, and authentic pieces. Her collections embody simple and contemporary elegance, defined by the sleek minimalism of Danish design and infused with a subtle twist of exotic sophistication. Having lived and worked across the globe—from her native Denmark to dynamic Hong Kong, the laidback US West Coast, and vibrant South America—Mette now creates from her studio in Windsor, United Kingdom. Drawing inspiration from her travels, vintage market treasures, and glamorous eras such as the 1920s flapper and 1970s boho, as well as the rugged beauty of Scandinavian nature, Mette designs for the modern, dynamic woman. Each piece reflects her belief that jewellery should be as thoughtfully curated as a wardrobe—an expression of individuality and timeless style. Working primarily with natural materials such as jade, turquoise, shell, coral, gold, silver, pearls, and leather, she combines colours, textures, and shapes to create pieces that are both distinctive and enduring. Many of her designs are crafted in limited numbers, making each piece truly unique—real jewellery for life, designed to be loved, worn, and passed down through generations.
