This hand sized ceramic side plate is oval in shape. The garland designs are hand painted with blue oxide pigment stain then glazed with a transparent glaze to allow the natural ivory clay to show through. The size makes it ideal to use a side plate, a soap dish or in the kitchen as a stand for olive oil bottle or as a spoon rest.

These dishes are made by hand, in small batches, by me at my studio in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.

this item is food safe and dishwasher safe though hand washing is preferable
each item varies slightly as the clay is hand shaped, hand painted and kiln fired at high temperatures
this item is made-to-order and ready to send in 3 weeks though I often have some made and ready to send

Yes - we love sending our community’s work out into the world! Please note that customs fees or import duties may apply depending on your country. These are the responsibility of the recipient. Most brands are currently not shipping to the US due to the changes in the customs charges as these are now paid at source. Please email at shop@thecuratedstore.co.uk to confirm before ordering.

Each maker/brand ships a little differently, but most orders arrive within 3–5 working days in the UK. You’ll receive dispatch emails and some brands offer a tracking link once your parcel is on its way.

We want you to love every piece you choose, but if something’s not quite right, you can return it within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, and with tags intact.

If this happens. Please contact us right away with photos so we can put things right. Every brand we work with is independent, so we handle each issue personally and with care.

Yes, absolutely! Many of our brands who have popped up with us now feature on our website. We love it when customers continue to support our brands once they have moved out of the Store at the end of their month.
