A slim pencil case combines colourful patterns with practicality and they are so great for easily keeping a few bits together, whether it’s coming to a meeting with you or stopping things getting lost at the bottom of your handbag. It can easily store a few pens and pencils in it, some makeup essentials, your headphones/lip balm/hair-ties or even just to keep your epi-pen or medication concealed but easily to hand. 

Featuring my best-selling Paradise pattern with hand-drawn birds and vibrant colour-blocks, this colourway is the same as the stationery range (give or a take a little given it’s on fabric not paper!).  I’m over the moon to be able to reintroduce fabric items to the Holchester Designs range now that I’ve found a collaborator that is both UK based but who also values sustainable practices just like me.  

The pattern was originally inspired by the stunning Birds of Paradise, and it uses my original hand-drawn sketches which I then refined digitally before turning them into a repeat pattern.  This pattern is consistently my most popular, and now you can find it across these cases, notebooks and on other recycled paper products too.   

The 100% cotton fabric for these cases has been sourced and printed in Scotland, and then handmade (also in Scotland) in small batches to ensure minimum fabric waste.  The YKK zip is really sturdy, made from recycled plastic and with a leather zip pull for ease of opening.  Plus the thread used is also from recycled plastic and the case is fully lined for maximum practicality.  It will be posted out to you packaged simply with a recycled and recyclable tag, before being wrapped and posted out in our standard recycled/recyclable plastic-free packaging. 

Think a slim pencil case might be a bit small? Don’t worry - there are three different sizes of case available - Slim, Standard (a middle-size) and Zip Pouch (the biggest).
