There's a particular kind of quiet that comes at the end of a long day, the kind you have to make room for. The Empress's Milk is a magnesium-rich mineral soak, hand blended with Epsom salt and magnesium flakes, softened with goat's milk, oat and jojoba, and scented with lavender and chamomile. It's built for exactly that.

What's in it, and why

• Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate): the working base of the soak, a bathing classic for winding down at the end of the day.

• Magnesium flakes: a second form of magnesium that dissolves into the water for a soft, silky feel.

• Dead Sea salt & Himalayan salt: mineral-rich and softening, together they bring trace minerals to the water.

• Goat's milk powder: rich in natural fats and lactic acid, it softens and gently conditions skin.

• Oat flour: cushioning in water and gentle on skin, oat has long been a bathtime favourite.

• Jojoba oil: closely resembles skin's own natural oils, so it absorbs easily and leaves skin quietly conditioned.

• Lavender & chamomile: the warm, slow-down note that carries the whole blend. Lavender for calm, chamomile for softness.

How to Use
Because the salts are blended with oil, they naturally cling together a little. The small wooden scoop that comes with each jar is there to break them up, and it makes measuring out your soak feel as considered as the rest of the ritual. Two handfuls is plenty. Add them to warm running water, then swirl to disperse so everything mixes in, and let it dissolve fully before you get in. Sit with it for as long as the evening allows.
