The fragrance

Orchard Spice opens with ripe pear — juicy, rounded, a little creamy, the brightest and most immediate note in the blend. This is the one that leads, giving the candle its warmth from the very first light.

Beneath that, fig — green, slightly milky, with a dry woodiness that keeps the whole thing from turning sweet. It’s what gives Orchard Spice its edge, pulling it away from anything predictably fruity and closer to standing under the tree itself.

And running through both, clove — warm, a little dark, the kind of note that turns up in the background of a proper autumn evening without ever announcing itself outright.

This is a fragrance for the turn of the season. For orchards past their sweetest point, and the first proper cold evening of the year.

Made at Craft & Create

Pear leads here, juicy and rounded rather than sharp. Fig sits underneath, dry and slightly woody, holding the sweetness back. Clove runs through both, warming it without ever taking over.

Developed, blended and poured entirely in house at our studio at Folly Farm.

The wax

The wax in every Craft & Create candle is a European plant-based blend — rapeseed and coconut.

The vessel

The amber apothecary jar is a considered choice, not an aesthetic one — though it happens to be both. Amber glass filters light in a way that protects fragrance compounds from degradation, keeping the integrity of the scent consistent from the first burn to the last. Designed to be refilled, repurposed, kept.
